PROFILE

 

As a successful entrepreneur I have a long history of the Hotel and Licensing trade. I have created a 64 bedroom Hotel with conference facilities and restaurant from a 7 bedroom and one bathroom derelict guest house. This has given me knowledge and expertise in planning, building, developing and management, essential to helping and advising in all areas of the Hotel and Catering industry.

 

My experience ranges from being a Tenant licensee to an Independent Hotel Proprietor. During this time I gained a full working knowledge of operating as a Franchise with two large national brands. This gives me a full understanding of the benefits of belonging to a corporate chain when necessary, along with the problems associated with being a sole trader, owner and hands on manager.

 

As a property developer I have been instrumental in creating and designing and building an award winning UK and International development of 22 luxury apartments converted from a former Hotel.

CAREER HISTORY

 

I altered and extended a 7 bedroom Guest House with one bath to a substantial and profitable Hotel

 

I was able to build a Hotel which consisted of 64 en suite rooms, 70 seater restaurant and 9 conference rooms. The function rooms allowed me to enter the wedding, function and conference market.

 

I have a working knowledge of Sales and Marketing to achieve an increase in sales, Hotel reservation systems, both computer and non computerised, Stock control, Sage Accounts, Daily flash food costs, Beverage Costings, Wage cost forecast, Sales ledger control, Miscellaneous purchase ledger control, Weekly and monthly effective forecasting, Actual to budget analysis, and Housekeeping quality control.

 

I have recently designed and developed an award winning development of 22 luxury apartments to the highest specification. This foresight was to change a hotel and conference centre to an even more profitable enterprise.
